CARIN SMUTS Ba Arch UCT (1982) and B Arch UCT (1984) is a Registered Professional Architect.
She established CS Studio Architects in 1989 & much has happened in the ten years since.
CS Studio Architects has completed over 100 significant projects in rural and urban contexts of a public nature and include educational, healthcare, arts, and religious buildings, as well as, community centre and disabled facilities.
The scope of work also included the restoration of historical monuments.
Carin & the practice have received local & international recognition for producing quality work in both the architectural and social context, providing appropriate, sustainable solutions.
This was reiterated when Carin Smuts & CS Studio Architects where the winner of the Global Award for Sustainable Architecture 2008 (Paris)
