About Me / Us:
We challenge the obvious, the mundane and we explore irrational ideas. We view a project from a holistic place, we question our social conditioning, and apply pragmatic methods with foresight to achieve a simple solution, that is design.

We provide a non-mainstream design consultancy and implementation service for a niche client base that like to think a little upside-down.

We design just about anything, and the more mundane the idea might might seem on the surface, the more excited we get, because we know and realize each projects untapped possibilities.

Visual Menus for Restaurants

by Radhika SethYummy Tummy! But that ain’t a phone you know; it’s a digital menu card. Snooty waiters and stained-dog-eared menu cards in restaurants are two things that I detest and are a big let-down. Although I hear that some places in the Far East do have a digitalized menu card system, I’m sure it’s not as sleek as this Aygness here. This one’s got features like language options (good for tourists), image representation of dishes, direct order placement to the kitchen, and entertainment too… Continue

Hi wotbox?,

'your comment: "...people really fail to recognize exactly how subjective it all really is", is also subjective.'

Actually it's not. Please read this:

http://handprint.com/HP/WCL/color2.html#individualdiffs

There is several other places on this same site I can refer you to to substantiate my claim, but it would take to long to locate it as the site is astoundingly large and informative. I mean it: it is the best source on colour I have come across - better than any book I have read on it. In fact it eclipses everything I have read on it because, when I checked out the author's references, it turned out he had consulted every single source on colour I had consulted in my whole career, plus a lot more.

Bruce McEvoy, the author of the site, has a doctorate in psychology, and colour perception being a thing of the mind, it follows that it will always be psychology. It may be other things as well (like physiology for instance, which McEvoy covers at length as well) but psychology it will always be. So I can hardly be accused of subjectivity since it is based on a respectable source referencing sound research.

Actually, if you want to read from the beginning, the starting point for the site is here:

http://handprint.com/LS/CVS/color.html

'Maybe we should think about colour in terms of energy, light and the higher/lower frequency colours we dont see?'

McEvoy covers that issue as well.

Go read the material on his site - it will take you days, and much of it will be way over your head (like it was over mine, so don't feel bad about it) but it will prove to you that my words carry more weight than you are giving me credit for. If, after you did your homework, like I did mine, you feel that you view still holds true, you are welcome to climb into the boxing ring and engage in a friendly spar with me over the matter.

Regards,

Willem

I am impresssed with your work though!
