Luminous Lamps Made from Recycled Washing Machine Drum

These spectacular lamps may appear as if they’ve been pulled off the latest superstar designer’s mass-production line, but look again — they’re actually washing machine drums recycled into amazing lighting! Designed by Alex Kovatchev, the “Wash Lamp” is a great eco-friendly idea that takes the barrel of an out-of-service washing machine and capitalizes on its minimalist circular formation, perforated surface and stainless steel finish to create an awesome piece of illumination able to wash an entire space in a multifaceted light. And if you’ve already amassed your fair share of pendant lamps, this piece is also available as an easily affixable wall light and an ottoman for lustrous low-to-the-ground seating.
