Demand for properties to rent is at an all-time high, and this is a good time to invest in a property to rent, as you are unlikely to struggle to find a tenant, according to Glenda Taylor, director of Greeff Rentals, which manages more than 400 rental properties in Cape Town’s southern suburbs.
Mike Greeff, chief executive of Greeff Properties, an affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate, says that it’s a particularly good time for student accommodation.
“From September onwards parents start looking for accommodation for the following year for their student children. This means apartments and small houses close to UCT in Rondebosch, Mowbray and Rosebank are excellent investment options and are unlikely to depreciate in value as the demand is constant and growing ,” says Greeff.
