Make a bed using industrial galvanized steel pipe

While making a bed out of industrial steel pipe might sound a bit odd, you have to see these beds first. I think this is a brilliant way for making beds, and you never have to worry about moving them to clean underneath. Beckie at infarrantly creative was the first to inspire my creative juices with her pine and steel pipe beds, and then it just went on and on.

I found so many amazing examples of beds of all sizes using industrial steel pipe. Children’s beds seem to be a popular choice for using industrial or galvanized steel pipe. These beds would last forever and can be designed to fit in any room.

It seems like making a bed out of industrial steel pipe has becoming a trend – even if you only use a small amount of pipe for the legs.

Tracie at cleverly inspired used industrial steel pipe to make the legs for her son’s new bed, which were then sprayed with Rust-Oleum Universal titantium silver.

I have a feeling that the original inspiration for industrial galvanized steel pipe beds can from Restoration Hardware. These beautiful bunk beds have a wonderful vintage feel to them, despite being built using modern materials.

However, there are plenty of adult bed designs that use industrial or galvanized steel pipe and these range from a four-post bed to a industrial-style bed.
