Secunda residents and business owners excitedly watched their new local shopping centre, Secund Mall, being constructed last year until its much anticipated opening in October 2013. Not only will the shopping centre meet the local consumers’ needs with a vast array of leading retailers, but there are expectations that the mall will also draw people from surrounding areas such as Ermelo, Bethal and other towns. Those that feel this has been a long time coming for Secunda, also feel that the leading retail brands, from clothing to technology and entertainment, being introduced to the centre will result in creating increased levels of new business in the area.
The outdoor areas of the new centre were finished with the fully weather resistant products from the Igneous Concrete range. Installed products, specified by Louis Peens Architects (LPA), included twenty three Organic Benches, twelve Organic Ottomans and thirty Ellipse Bollards, including 8 removable bollards. The centre also boasts a variety of our pots and planters; forty four 1.25m long Rectangular Planters, nine 1.2m Square Pots and two 1.5m Diameter Pots, all fitted with drip trays.
We are confident that the Igneous products are standing fast to their reputation, and are adding to the complete retail experience to be had at the new shopping centre.
